In 2013 she received her first credential; Certified Professional Coder (CPC). In 2016 she became a Certified Orthopedic Surgery Coder (COSC). In 2022 she became an AAPC Approved Coding Instructor. And in 2023 she became a Certified Compliance Officer.

La'Shonta is passionate about delivering reliable and efficient coding education to Qualified Healthcare Professionals, and Revenue Cycle staff including front desk, per-authorizations, coding, billing accounts receivable etc. Throughout her career, she has had the pleasure of shadowing several surgeons as well as performed coding and billing tasks for multiple specialties.

These first-hand experiences inspired La'Shonta to find ways to close the communication and education gap between healthcare providers, medical revenue cycle staff and the payers.
